Christophe Lenaerts, who is also a farmer on the Heihuyzen estate, has launched a new genever. It is based on pine cones from the estate. It has a 25% alcohol and has a sweet but pronounced taste.
The Mastentoppenjenever is made from Kempen pine cones gathered in the woods on the Heihuyzen estate.
These pine cones give a very typical flavour to the genever: tasting them gives the impression of being in a Kempen forest, surrounded by pine trees, small game, deer and the delicious scents the forest gives off.
